Servers

A server is a specialized computer or specialized equipment for running service software on it (including servers for those or other tasks). A server is a computer selected from a group of personal computers (or workstations) to perform some service task without direct human participation.

The new generation of servers boasts outstanding performance among 1U form-factor solutions due to the use of the latest Intel® X86 platform and a range of features optimized for modern data centers.

  • Industry-leading performance to enhance data center productivity,
  • Convenient, interactive management module,
  • Perfect flexibility and scalability,
  • Effective security measures.

Routers

Routers operate at a higher “network” (third) level of the OSI network model than a switch (or network bridge) and a hub (hub), which operate at the second and first levels of the OSI model, respectively.

The router utilizes a versatile software platform — Comware, a proprietary intellectual property platform that employs a distributed architecture, providing comprehensive functionality through the convergence of IGP, BGP, MPLS, segment routing, quality of service, traffic engineering, multicast virtual private networks, VxLAN, and so forth.

Combined with an innovative fully distributed NP/multicore architecture system, routers deliver flexibility and 99.999% operator-level reliability.

Switchboards

Switchboards are used to safely distribute electricity throughout commercial and industrial facilities. A switchboard is a component of an electrical distribution system which divides an electrical power feed into branch circuits while providing a protective circuit breaker or fuse for each circuit in a common enclosure. Core switches for cloud data centers are designed to facilitate cloud services in data centers. They possess the following features and capabilities:

  • Multi-tier and multi-plane Clos+ switching architecture
  • Industry-leading backbone switch supporting 768 40G/100G interfaces operating at line rate in a single chassis.
  • Support for Intelligent Resilient Framework version 2 (IRF2) and Multi-Device Context (MDC) technologies to implement virtual pools of resources.
  • Distributed input buffers (up to 200ms) for handling traffic bursts in data centers.
  • Independent management, detection, and maintenance processors to achieve sub-50ms failover and extended management functionality.
